When I was switching anti-virus programs this weekend, my computer was infected. I guess it was already there, and it didn’t show up until I removed the first program. I’ve been contemplating making the jump to MAC for some time, but one of the obstacles was finding a charting package. I did find trend soft. I open to suggestions for a reliable, and hopefully cost effective alternative.
It may take a few days before I have everything up and running. I will post in the VO when I’m up to speed.

I’ve seen screenshots of elitetrader people running Quotetracker via a tool called crossover (google it), and possibly other packages would work that way, as well.

Im ok happy with it. I only trade on mac, Imac and powerbook G4 have been for 2 years. I dont know, check out the stockcharts.. there is no alert function which I would like to have and there are other shortcommings. I may check out the one you found.

There’s also Investor/RT if you must run the trading app on the Mac OS X. I use a Mac but boot into WinXP via bootcamp for trading. If you go that route then you can just keep the Win clean without anything other than just your trading apps on it and do everything else in the Mac environment. Another way is to use something like VMWare of Parallels and create virtual Win machines. You can even clone them so you can keep a clean version in case something goes wrong.
