We’re coming up on the annual Trading Pimp awards ceremony (the name has changed since most pimps have entered the futures arena), and I’m faced with two dilemmas.
One can be easily solved. I’m not sure if I want to award the Pimp Chalice this year. Most players already drink from one on a daily basis, and they probably don’t need it.
Or do I present a standard trophy? The ones available aren’t appropriate for anyone over the age of six. This wanna be pimp can’t command any respect.
Now take a look at the Heisman Trophy.
I can only envision a Trading Pimp award that conveys the true power of a dominating pimp hand — ready to backhand Ho’s who willingly give up their hard earned money in the markets. Ho’s, you know who you are.
Here is my other dilemma. One of the likely winners happens to be a woman. Would she even acknowledge this award? It has turned the whole Pimp/Ho relationship upside down. Most of us traders, who happen to be men, have readily been bitch slapped by this woman. Pimping is a mindset, and she has it.

Babak and Richard are in the running, but I’m open to suggestions. It also wouldn’t hurt to politic for the grand prize. Linking to this fine blog, and getting the word out about the upcoming ceremony, can only help you in your quest to eventually achieve Trader Pimp status.
