I was negative on money today, and thats
1. good
2. deserved

Good that I traded badly and reaped the correct results.
Deserved because of no plan.

I was up as much a little over 200. Finished off -150.

I dont have indicators from eotpro.com yet, should be buying in here shortly when Im not at a coffee shop.

With not much of a trading plan except for following the room and with charts of a 1 tick, 233 tick, 4987 Volume, 997 volume, and 9973 point it was interseting to see trends the chop and Bernekie’s Suprize (the leaked text) and the live reaction on the charts.

I had no other indicators (MACD etc) up.
The 1 Tick to see if my MC is alive, that will go as I settle in.

The Point chart to me was of the most interst, seemed to take the chop out of the equasion.

The 4987 volume bar chart showed the trend of the while.

These all will have more meaning when I have the eot indicators up.

and my plan.

I think I will start out with a Boxplay strat.

Over the day I enjoyed the Hour of Power but I think someone pissed em off. Someone was asking him “hey do you ever show a loosing trade?” *shakes head* Why put that negative energy out there? eh?

Trades are hard enough, and when someone is offering you the opportunity to view a live trade, respect the persons time because their money is on the line. Hope he comes back.

A funny story about trying to loose at Vegas

In other news..
The AGN Platform is much better than my previous trading platform (cant remember the name). You couldnt swing a dead cat and make it worse than (cant remember the name).

My numbers for my charts are Prime Numbers btw.

I have Trading in the Zone on order. Update: Its on its way!

E.

really, someone was asking about losing trades? HA! I wasn’t there for it today, but I know yesterday there were losing trades in the Power Hour. Just not very many… thus the name “hour of power”!

  2. Mr. White Folks Says:

for those of us not in the room, what is the hour of power? opening hour, last hour of the session?

  3. Richard Says:

It’s not any particular hour. As a new feature, an experienced trader named Harry puts up an aggressive set of charts and talks us through his trades for an hour or so. It’s a different style than the main room style, so it’s been fun to have the variety.

Hello from Old Town Tacoma (neighbor).
I’m still using the system whose name you’ve forgotten, but I’m working on system development (some EL, some having EL call into C#) before I actively trade again. Anyways, I was wondering about AGN. Is that the “TransAct AT” platform? If I switch platforms I was thinking of jumping to NinjaTrader, but I’m curious about what else is out there.
    Thanks,

I didn’t recognize who that person was but they were pretty rude to him. I don’t get that. Dude is a millionaire trader…he doesn’t owe the newbies in the EOT room a thing.

I had a fairly devastating day yesterday and I’m back to paper trading (perhaps forever, tbd). I greatly dislike the Tradestation matrix and send of an email to my rep. I lost money on a data glitch and then I pressed one of the microscopic buttons and removed my stop instead of closing a position. So much for my trading career, I guess. I don’t know at this point.

  6. Richard Says:

Michael: people seem to like other order execution systems a lot better than TS. If TS is giving you trouble, why not switch? I’ve personally had a few glitches with TS the last couple days. When we get the EOT indicators migrated to ninja I may open an acct elsewhere and switch to ninja completely. Trading is hard, no two ways about it, and you’ve got to be prepared to lose some money while you figure it out. If you can’t stomach some initial losses, then trading is probably not for you. Paper trading for longer may help; just keep in mind that it does feel a bit different to have real money in play.

  7. Mr. White Folks Says:

    richard and michael: thanks

michael: the next time a millionaire trader gives me free advice, i’ll be rude to him…i didn’t realize that was the protocol…for some reason, like u, i would think traders would be grateful…obviously, me and u r not thinking correctly
