I wish he hadn’t deleted so many comments, but I imagine it was some sort of racist bullshit. Personally, I think you should just allow those people to expose themselves for the idiots they are.
No, shit-for-brains…I’m a military officer trying to keep our boys and girls alive in the midst of one of teh greatest foreign policy coups in our nation’s short history, while you sit on your overweight, fast-food-eating carcass of an arse in the US and act all indignant and patriotic and all that blah.
It’s ignorant citizens like you who let our politicians run afoul of international law and trash our credibility abroad, and then vote for them again so they can finish the job. And it’s citizens like you who put your little red, white and blue flags on your big shiny SUVs, while carefully placing your “No Dogs, Sailors or Soldiers on the Grass” sign on your front lawns.
And your comment about beheadings is putting the cart before the horse, I’m afraid.
You make me sick. I hate the fact that I swore an oath to defend and die for you.

No racism involved and I didn’t delete the comments. The author deleted the comments. Those guys started a little battle and I think once they realized they were both servicemen they put down the gloves. I think cheesefries deleted his comments because he didn’t want to escalate.

Yeah…sorry about my little outburst. These are trying times. And in trying times, people in this country just tend to stick their head in partisan sands rather than face up to ugly realities that require them to change their beliefs…and possibly their lifestyles.
You would not believe the bullshit factor of the opinions of some of my colleagues — hell, I can’t even believe it sometimes. I get paid to analyze our foreign policy, and then I get paid to turn the other way while corporate profiteers and their sycophant politicos rape everyone else with their BS — whether it is real politik, universal values, free markets, democracy, the war on terror, or whatever they need to use to achieve their objectives. And the farting masses just continue to stick their heads in the sand, their big fat butts high in the air like some giant whack-a-mole game at a carnival for recently released sex molesters.

jay: there’s absolutely nothing to apologize for…as i stated on your blog, i’m tired of people who never even served questioning the patriotism of people who have actually been in the military…i can see people disagreeing, but this mindless BS is annoying…i support the troops by wanting them out of a needless war…when bush starts funding the hospitals charged with taking care of the wounded, or even getting them the proper armor while they are there, i might actually believe that they “support” the troops

i’m sure HPT rejected his advances…he displays all the signs of a spurned lover…i’ve also heard that HPT was trying to get a restraining order for cyber stalking…however, the judge recognized that HPT really likes all the attention he’s getting…both positive and negative

Im an ex navy man from back in 79. I hear you loud and clear. I think we can both agree with this famous quote which I have actually now seen on 2 billboards in Florida thank God! “These times will not be remembered so much for the clamor of the ev, but of the appalling silence of the Good.” I dont know how the service is now, but my God, back then it was filled with a majority of lazy people just wanting a free lunch and benefits. I pray there are more good men like you now than back in 79.
