What’s in store for me this weekend?
I saw an ad for a demonstration of past life regression via hypnosis, to be given this weekend. It sounded interesting, so I called to RSVP. They turned me away, because the presentation was already full. Oh well! But, I got to talking with the therapist, and showed so much interest in how it works, that he offered to allow me to be the subject!
Wow!
This will be a lot of fun. I have no idea what will happen, or if I am easy to hypnotize or not. This weekend, I will find out! It will all be recorded and witnessed, so while I’m always nervous about this sort of thing, it seems relatively safe. If I bark like a dog or something in next week’s trading videos, please let me know I should sue them…
(and possibly give me a milkbone)

I had a medium do one for me once–she recorded it on a tape. I was a confederate soldier and was shot in the head at Fort Sumter. She suggested that my military background is why I’m so uptight, etc. in real life. She knew absolutely nothing about me other than my name & birth date, so when she talked about personality and health factors it was rather interesting.

I will be most interested to see if there’s any way to differentiate between a past-life memory and a hypnotic lucid dream. I mean, your brain could just make the whole thing up, to try to please the hypnotist, and the dream symbolism would also no doubt reflect your current state and personality. So, I would be pleased to remember being a nobody in a town I’ve never heard of (which is statistically the most likely past life, I would guess). I would say the more interesting the past life is, the less likely it is to be real. But either way, it will be a lot of fun to try, and I’m told hypnosis is relaxing/refreshing on par with deep meditation. I’m always up for that!

richard: that’s what i’ve always believed about the past life phenomenon…its harmless and should be fun…you’re right, everyone was some sort of hero or villain, when in reality, most of us are just somewhere in the middle
when i was listening to that hypnosis cd before i went to sleep, i found that to be very relaxing also…i need to get back to that
