Am I happy with this morning’s experimental entry signal performance?
Yes. Yes I am :-) Two trades in the first 1.5 hours, and they were pretty darn clean wins.
Hopefully the rest of the day will hold up. I like how it avoided the choppy section in the middle of the chart, even if that meant in sat out for the initial breakout.

Happy Monday indeed. How did it go for the rest of the day?
You mentioned trouble spots, anything in general?
Also in the testing side of the universe, have you selected time frames that you consistantly test your indicators on? Say a batch of timeslots that represent major aspects of the market? (chop, news/events, long/short) Or do you find that just going a month back is good enough for your rapid prototyping?

It did well the rest of the day. My chart shows two losses in the afternoon, but all the other trades were worth at least 1.5 pts.
I tend to make myself happy on one or two time frames, and then later make sure it holds up in others. For this indicator, I seem to like 2584 share bars. I also watched it on 3/4 pt range bars today, and it did well there.
I haven’t done the analysis to see what the trouble spots had in common. I will get to that eventually. Maybe they can be eliminated, or maybe there are too few of them to care.

There should be someone folling behind you as your test department so that everytime you pop another set of indicators, they can grind on them. :)
Keep us posted!
