These are Blog Archives
Here you can find links to old content I had on the blog, prior to switching to our group pages. Have fun looking around... some of it is pretty good! If you are looking for the best of the best posts from both the old and new eras, then go to the Articles Page. If you want the newest material, browse the public group (and the google waves associated with it).

Go See the Forums

Until I get the website re-integrated, go to the forums to see all my updates. The RSS feed has already been pointed there. Thanks!

Revitalizing the Blog

People have been talking to me about how little I’ve been posting to the blog. The truth of the matter is, I love posting on my forums much more. You know, back in August, while talking about the future of the blog, I said that a blog is like a forum where [...]

Team Update

It’s been about a month since the last update, and things are changing fast! So, how are we doing? A few changes were needed, and lots of cool stuff is going on. This post summarizes what’s happened.

Trying Google Buzz

I’m trying out google buzz… I kinda like that I don’t have restrictions on the amount I can type (unlike twitter), and it has comments (like jaiku).

FreeStockCharts.com

Today, I was browsing a TAS&C during lunch, and came across a glowing review for freestockcharts.com, so I checked it out. It’s pretty full-featured for a web app, and has realtime data from the BATS exchange. And, it’s free!

It’s #4 on the articles page.

RWT-008: Forever is a Long Time

I’ve posted RWT-008, which goes over some basic game theory as it applies to a common trading decision: taking profits vs. letting the trade ride. In a canned example, I show how you can mathematically decide which option is best, and also give a way to model the imperfection of the common trader when [...]

Understand Your Terms

I’m not sure why so many traders refuse to use accepted scientific terms correctly. Recently I’ve seen the terms leading and lagging used incorrectly far too often. And don’t get me started on fractal!

It’s Gotta Be the Charts

Whenever I see people on forums endlessly discussing whether or not to use indicators, I always think of the old “it’s gotta be the shoes” ad campaign.
