Here you can find links to old content I had on the blog, prior to switching to our group pages. Have fun looking around... some of it is pretty good! Alla’s Average on Ensign

Here’s Alla’s Average. See how wonderful it makes for support/resistance?

I haven’t coded the std. deviation bands yet. I’ll do that some other time. Right now I just want to get the basic uses of the indicators covered… and then see what makes most sense to provide on this platform.

GVolume Oscillator on Ensign

Another eotpro indicator ported to Ensign:

The Gvolume oscillator is a close cousin to Shelly’s Volume. Looks pretty good, no?

GCycle Stochastic on Ensign

I’m still concerned about the way it appears you must calculate everything redundant times to make them work on ensign. These stochastics make my poor old laptop churn a bit as they calculate the history. I don’t yet have a live feed for ensign, so I don’t know what the bar-to-bar load is.
Looking [...]

Half-Cycle on Ensign

Things are still progressing. I can tell that it’s going to take more and more effort to make the complicated indicators work. There’s not much available in the way of historical values and arrays. But, I think I can make it work.

Cycle Moving Average on Ensign

Here’s the Cycle Moving Average…

… and the Cycle Moving Average Shift:

So far, it’s easy enough to write the code, but there’s still plenty nagging me about Ensign… like: it’s not yet obvious to me how to set the default values for an indicator’s inputs. Unfortunately, ensign is not like TS or Ninja where you [...]

First EOTPro Ensign Indicator

I coded the plot cycles tonight:

I’m slowly getting used to the way ensign does things. Sadly, a very different paradigm than both Tradestation and Ninja. So, it seems the indicators will need to be re-thought again. *sigh*
I’m unclear about a few details about how Ensign manages the scope of [...]

Checking Out Ensign

I’m checking out Ensign Software’s charting platform, as we are interested in porting the eotpro.com indicators to it. So far, I’m having issues getting a real-time data feed for futures hooked up to it, but hopefully that will be resolved soon. Just looking around, I have to say it looks oddly familiar… [...]
