Confluence of Measured Moves Example
Posted on August 21st, 2009

I was talking to the eotpro live room some more about measured moves today. The technique has been working very well for me. Today, I discussed how you can measure moves inside of moves, and pay attention to the confluence when two measured moves project to the same target.
Here is my 5-tick reversal [...]
More Measured Move Examples

Today in the eotpro live room, I was asked if the measured moves I was talking about on ES happen on markets like ZN. I was pretty sure they would, but I checked anyway. I pulled up a 4-tick reversal ZN chart and looked at a few days. There were a number [...]

I just went over an example of a nice measured move in the ES with the folks in the live room. I measure them like I showed on my recent PnF tutorial video. Here’s the image I was looking at today (click to enlarge):
When you can talk about the extent of the move [...]
Quick and Dirty Ninja PnF Bars, version 2

I’ve made a couple of enhancements to my quick-and-dirty PnF bars for Ninja. Now, they:
They are compatible with advanced volume studies like VR4×1 and Volume Splitter

In this video, I go over the opening half-hour or so on my PnF chart and an 89-Tick chart. It was a dramatic opening with a big gap. That usually leads to great opportunities to profit from suckers who try to catch the bottom. That’s the way I play them, anyway…

Quick and Dirty NinjaTrader6.5 PnF Charts

I realize you can get PnF charts from tradingstudies.com, but I am a programmer, and I had a simple need for 1 tick x 3 box reversal PnF charts on my Ninjatrader. So, I made a quick-and-dirty implementation. Because I just threw it together, it only works for 1-tick boxes, but you can [...]
Point and Figure Breakout Pattern

As many of you know, I love point and figure charts. I thought I’d briefly share one of the basic PnF patterns… the triple top/triple bottom breakout. What’s nice about this pattern is that it’s easy to spot, and you have a profit target that’s somewhat reliable.
Basically, you are looking for at [...]

So-so day for me. 4 wins and 1 loss, so I’m pretty happy, but I missed the one good chance I had to make a lot of money.

Nice and easy, 3 trades for 3 wins in the first hour. Then quit early to head out for a swedish massage.
Life is good.
