The Move the Markets Team is a small group dedicated to exploring, studying, and using technical analysis. Our collaboration area is here.
Main Activities
I’ve organized our activities into two categories: Research and Application. Here are some examples of what the team will be up to:
- Research and Study
- Post about whatever trading ideas we are currently working on
- Discuss to the most interesting articles, blog posts, and forum topics from around the ‘net.
- Hold study groups on important TA books
- Post any indicators we’re developing
- Applying Technical Analysis
- Real-time chart analysis
- Hindsight chart analysis
I intend to participate in all areas, including posting indicators I’m working on in open code.

What Does It Cost?
I’m going to let members pay whatever they think the group experience is worth to them, down to a minimum of $29/month USD. I recognize that not every aspiring trader is overflowing with money. If you are going to make a hail mary shot on your $100 micro FX account, I don’t want you paying me hundreds of dollars a month while you learn!
You MUST agree to the Terms of Service before you can sign up! Read the whole thing, but especially note items 7, 8, and 9.
Who Do We Want?
What’s the ideal team member like? In a word: Enthusiastic;. It doesn’t matter if you are a beginner or a TA expert, as long as you are interested in learning and actually applying technical analysis in real-time. Stocks, futures, tulip bulbs, whatever…. if it can be traded with technical analysis we are interested!
We’ll work hard to keep the team:
- Small, so that you can post interesting trading ideas without broadcasting them to the whole world
- Respectful, so that you can post questions and mistakes and we can all learn from them as quickly as possible
